About the Author – Umar Arsi
My Religious Background
I grew up in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, following the faith of my father and grandfather. In 1973, I joined the Sudan International Missionaries (SIM) Church, where studying the Bible was central to academic and spiritual life.
Later, I attended a Seventh-day Adventist missionary school, which challenged my understanding of Christianity due to differences in observing the Sabbath. These experiences sparked deep philosophical questions about faith, practice, and spiritual truth, shaping my perspective and approach as a writer.
